This week we have started another process art project- tie dying. First, we read the instructions together. Next, we wrote out our own materials and steps. Then we designed on paper what we hoped our shirt would look like.
Today, we followed the steps. We laid our shirts out flat and twisted them in the middle. Mr. Peter and Mrs. Katie helped put the elastics on. Then, we all got our shirts damp. After, we placed them on a table and Mrs. Katie added the dye so that we didn't get covered. Then we wrapped them up. Tomorrow, we will unwrap, rinse and let dry to see what they look like. It has been a very exciting day!
