Every day the children have the opportunity to play numeracy and literacy games. This week's games included sorting beads to make pattern necklaces, matching frog numbers to frog egg lily pads and making the letter with the pictures sound.
The children really enjoyed working together to sort the different colored beads so that later this week they can make pattern necklaces.
There was a lot of conversation and counting as well as number recognition when putting the right number frog with the right number of frog eggs!
Each child picked up a different picture. They had to sound out the name of the picture and find the letter on the card to match it with.
Lots of thinking, and fun!
