As a provocation, I set out a set of dominoes. The children were quickly playing and exploring this new game. Dominoes can enforce many mathematical skills such as:
* patterning
* number recognition
* number symbols
* counting
* color recognition
* number matching
It also allows children to practice their cooperation skills, group decision making skills and oral communication skills when playing a game with each other.
